The "Peter Mayer Hofkapelle" is free-spirited, thoughtful, enthusiastic, and fun-loving.
The songs are sung in the Innviertel dialect, the music is inspired by the world, and the lyrics are written to resonate with everyone. The songs are composed by Peter Mayer and draw inspiration from his encounters with various music scenes, from Austria to Los Angeles – and when he's not making music, he's an organic farmer chasing his free-range pigs .
Michael Dumfart on clarinets, Nora Mayer on vocals and percussion, and Jakob Steinkellner on the Styrian harmonica. The individual ensemble members are all full-blooded musicians and have long been active in the Austrian music scene.
Drawing on inspiration from around the world, the Hofkapelle interprets Mayer's compositions with unabashed passion. This makes them unmistakable, combining cosmopolitanism with down-to-earthness and individuality. Together, they create a bold sound of joie de vivre!
